The Legislative Assembly of Telangana, also known as the Telangana Vidhan Sabha, is the lower house of the bicameral legislature of Telangana. It consists of 119 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). The seat of the Legislative Assembly is at Hyderabad, the capital of the state.
The term of the Legislative Assembly is five years. However, it may be dissolved earlier than that by the Governor on the request of the Chief Minister. The last legislative Assembly elections in Telangana were held in Nov 2023.

The 3rd Legislative Assembly of Telangana formed post the elections held in Nov 2023 consists of 119 MLAs. INC won the 2023 Assembly elections by a landslide margin grabbing 64 seats in the 119 seat Assembly. Its ally (CPI) won 1 seat pushing the NDA comfortably across the majority mark to form the government. Subsequently, there were a few changes in the composition of the assembly based on the bye-elections held in specific constituencies.
- The INC now has 75 MLAs in the Telangana Assembly giving it control over 63% of the total seats in the Assembly
- The BHRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) has 28 MLAs and sits in the Opposition
- All other parties and independent MLAs together account for 16 seats

- Only 8% of MLAs in the current Assembly are women
- The percentage of women in the Telangana Legislative Assembly has remained below 10%
