The Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh, also known as the Andhra Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, is the lower house of the bicameral legislature of Andhra Pradesh. It consists of 175 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA).

The term of the Legislative Assembly is five years. However, it may be dissolved earlier than that by the Governor on the request of the Chief Minister. On 2 June 2014, the state of Andhra Pradesh was split to form the new state of Telangana. Andhra Pradesh was allocated 175 legislative seats with the remaining 119 allocated to Telangana Legislative Assembly. The last legislative Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh were held in April 2019.

The 15th Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh constituted on 11 Apr 2019 was the second assembly in Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation of the state into Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It consists of 175 MLAs. Subsequent to the 2019 Assembly elections, bye-elections were held in several constituencies and many MLAs disqualified.

  • YSRCP (YSR Congress Party) won the 2019 Assembly elections by a majority and currently has 136 MLAs in the assembly, holding 77.7% of all seats in the Assembly.
  • The NDA coalition which includes TDP, BJP, and Jana Sena have 25 MLAs
  • INC (Indian National Congress) has 4 seats
  • 10 seats are currently vacant
