The Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, also known as the Delhi Vidhan Sabha, is a unicameral law making body and consists of 70 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA).
The term of the Legislative Assembly is five years. However, it may be dissolved earlier than that by the Governor on the request of the Chief Minister. The last legislative Assembly elections were held in Delhi on 8 February 2020.

The 7th Legislative Assembly of Delhi formed post the elections held in Feb 2020 consists of 70 MLAs. AAAP (Aam Aadmi Party) continued its winning streak in the 2020 Assembly elections securing yet another landslide victory by winning 62 of the 74 seats, taking them comfortably past the majority mark of 36 seats to form the government.
Subsequently, 1 seat fell vacant as the MP from Rajinder Nagar constituency was elected as an MP to the Rajya Sabha.
- AAAP (Aam Aadmi Party) currently has 61 MLAs giving it control over 87% of the total seats in the Assembly.
- BJP has 7 MLAs in the Assembly and sits in the Opposition
- 2 seats are currently vacant

- 19% of MLAs in the current Assembly are Graduates, just as in the previous Assembly.
- 38% of MLAs in the current Assembly are highly qualified (professionals and above) in comparison to 40% in the previous Assembly.
- Only 12% MLAs in the current Assembly are women
- The percentage of women in the Delhi Legislative Assembly has increased from 4% in 2013 to 12% in 2020
