Manipur Assembly
The Legislative Assembly of Manipur, also known as the Manipur Vidhan Sabha, is a unicameral law making body and consists of 60 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). The seat of the Legislative Assembly is at Imphal, the capital of the state.
The term of the Legislative Assembly is five years. However, it may be dissolved earlier than that by the Governor on the request of the Chief Minister. The last legislative Assembly elections in Manipur were held in Mar 2022.

The 13th Legislative Assembly of Manipur formed post the elections held in Mar 2012 consists of 60 MLAs. By winning 31 seats, BJP comfortably crossed the majority mark of 31 seats to form the government on its own. However, it formed the government along with its NDA alliance partners (National People's Party, JD(U), Naga People's Front, Kuki People's Alliance, and 2 Independent candidates).

- The percentage of women in the Manipur Legislative Assembly remains below 10% since 2007 and is among the lowest of all states in India.
