The Legislative Assembly of Nagaland, also known as the Nagaland Vidhan Sabha, is a unicameral law making body and consists of 60 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). The seat of the Legislative Assembly is at Kohima, the capital of the state.
The term of the Legislative Assembly is five years. However, it may be dissolved earlier than that by the Governor on the request of the Chief Minister. The last legislative Assembly elections in Nagaland were held in Feb 2023.

- The Nagaland Legislative Assembly elections in 2023 saw 184 candidates contesting for 60 seats, in comparison to 196 candidates in the 2018 Assembly elections.
- 13 political parties contested the 2023 Assembly elections, a step up from 10 parties in the 2018 Assembly elections.
- Nagaland had 1.32 million registered voters (electors) in the 2023 Assembly elections, in comparison to 1.18 million registered voters in 2018.
- 85.5% of the voters exercised their franchise in the 2023 Assembly elections, a 1.6% increase over the 2018 Assembly elections. The women's turnout at 87.1% was higher than that of men's at 83.9%
- The total voter turnout in Nagaland is amongst the highest across all states in India.
