  • In 2021-22, 54.9% of all school students in India were studying in government schools while 10.4% were studying in govt. aided schools.
  • Private schools hosted 32.2% of all students in India in 2021-22, a 6.4% decrease over the previous year.
  • 3.1 million students were studying in Madarsas as of Mar'22 - a 2.9% decrease over the previous year.
