India's unemployment rate rises to 7.8% in June 2022
As many as 13 million jobs were lost in June, primarily in the agriculture sector, as India continued to grapple with record-high unemployment levels. Despite the government's claims of economic growth, joblessness is one of the worst crises facing India in recent times.
